Bagley-Class destroyers as modified during late 1942
We now have color profiles for the following Bagley (DD-386) Class destroyers as
modified during late 1942.
Specifications for this configuration of the Bagley Class were taken from
Ships Data U.S. Naval Vessels, Vol. 1, 15 April 1945. Displacement: 2,170
tons (trial). Dimensions: 341’-4” overall, 35’-6” beam, 17’-1” max. draft.
Speed: 35.9 knots (trial). Armament: four single 5-in./38 cal. gun mounts,
one twin 40mm gun mount, four single 20mm gun mounts, four quadruple 21-in.
torpedo tube mounts, two depth charge tracks (for 600 lb.charges), and four
single K-Gun depth charge projectors (for 300 lb. charges). Radar: one SC
air search set and one SG surface search set.. Fire Control: one MK 33
GFCS/MK 4 (FD) radar and one MK 51 GFCS. Sonar: one QC set. Complement:
16 officers and 235 enlisted.
