The NAVY YARD ASSOCIATES is devoted to the production of quality books and superior art work with regard to the naval sciences and in particular the ships and aircraft of the United States Navy.

The books presented are by well known naval writer Robert F. Sumrall. The full color renderings displayed are by noted illustrator John R. Barrett. All have been carefully researched from official documents, photographs, and drawings to produce the most reliable, accurate, and informative books and graphic art work possible.

The books explore not only the exterior portion of the ship where the guns, radar, machinery, and other equipment neccessary to operate the ship and its armament are located. The text is profusely illustrated which, in effect, makes these books a presentation of "how things work."
